The CARELUX R1PE Bundle includes one sediment filter for the first stage or inlet, and one carbon filter for the second stage or outlet.
The sediment filter is required to protect the carbon filter. This is because, carbon filters will be covered in dirt and will stop adsorbing chlorine if they are installed in the first stage. Therefore, need a sediment pre-filter to work efficiently.
Also, the carbon filter in this bundle will not only remove chlorine, taste and odours like most carbon filters, but will also remove heavy metals and parasites from your drinking water.
