How do I install a shower filter?

How do I install the Sprite High Output Shower Filter?

INSTALLATION

  1. Remove the existing shower head from the shower arm
  2. Attached the HO Shower Filter to the shower arm by screwing filter clockwise onto the shower arm
  3. Attach the shower head to the HO Shower Filter by screwing shower head clockwise onto the shower filter

OPERATION

  1. Before entering the shower, activate filter by running hot water through the shower sysrem
  2. Cool to desired temperature before entering shower
  3. Enter the shower and enjoy

MAINTENANCE

The HO Shower Filter can be easily maintained by performing teh following procedures (or when needed) due to lowered filtering performance or water flow.

  1. Open the shower filter housing by unscrewing the two Shower Filter Halves counter clockwise
  2. Remove and reverse the direction of the Replaceable Cartridge. Check that the O-ring located inside each of the Shower Filter Housing Halves is properly seated in the O-ring Channel. (Note: A small amount to vaseline applied in the O-ring Channel will hold the O-ring in place)
  3. Close the shower filter housing by screwing the Shower Filter Halves clockwise
  4. This procedure may be repeated as necessary

FILTER CARTRIDGE REPLACEMENT(HOC)

Replace every 6,000 gallons or 6-12 months, whichever comes first

  1. Open the shower filter housing by unscrewing the two Shower Filter Halves counter clockwise
  2. Remove and replace the used filter with the new Replacement Cartridge. Check that the O-ring located inside each of the Shower Filter Housing Halves is properly seated in the O-ring Channel. (Note: A small amount to vaseline applied in the O-ring Channel will hold the O-ring in place)
  3. Close the shower filter housing by screwing the Shower Filter Halves clockwise

Note: Replace every 400 showers

How does the Sprite High Output Shower Filter works?

The High Output Cartridge has CHLORGON & KDF inside. Chlorgon converts free chlorine and some combined chlorines, such as sodium hypochlorite (liquid swimming pool chlorine), to a harmless chloride. Also, works well in a variety of temperatures from hot to cold.

Kinetic Degradation Fluxion, or KDF, converts free chlorine to a harmless chloride. KDF is 100 percent recyclable and contain no chemical additives. Also, removes free chlorine, iron oxides and hydrogen sulfide.
