Brand
Omnipure
Omnipure is a world class manufacturer of inline water filters and filter cartridges in the USA.
They produce over a dozen unique series of filters offering solutions to nearly any point of use water filtration problem.
Filtration Process
GAC (Granular Activated Carbon) is simply carbon in the form of granules. Granular Activated Carbon cartridges generally have very high capacities for the reduction or removal of aesthetic contaminants such as poor tastes, odors or colors. For these reasons, GAC filters are referred to as “taste and odor” filters.
Our Carbon filters employ a high grade carbon with industry-leading surface area allowing for the greatest efficiency of the carbon absorption.
These cartridges function poorly for the reduction of contaminants of health concern but Granular Activated Carbon filter cartridges serve well as pre-filters to carbon block filters or other technologies. They are best suited for high flow rate requirements, such as Point Of Entry (POE) applications.
Features & Benefits
The Omnipure WL5540 water filter is a granular activated carbon block filter used to reduce cysts, sediment, taste, odor and chlorine taste and odour
Omnipure GAC (Granular Activated Carbon) is simply carbon in the form of granules. This increases the surface area available for absorption of the unwanted chemicals within your water supply. It also extends the life of the cartridge, maximizing time between cartridge changes.
This Omnipure filter cartridge is Tested and Certified by NSF International against NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for material requirements only.
The Omnipure WL5540 Water Filter can be used in icemakers, refrigerators, beverage equipment, drinking fountains, undersink systems, and reverse osmosis systems.

Maintenance Requirements
Note flow direction of filter.
For quick connect fittings, push scratch free tube end into the fitting until it bottoms. Threaded fittings must be
wrapped with Teflon™ tape before installation. Install Teflon™ taped fittings and tighten firm. Use two wrenches to
firmly tighten tubing.
Flush new cartridge with 5 gallons of water prior to use and check for leaks. If leaks occur, check tightness of tubing and
fittings. If leaks persist, discontinue use and call your supporting dealer.
Replace cartridge when rated capacity (2,000 gallons) is reached, or when flow becomes too slow.
Install in compliance with state and local laws and regulations.
