How do you clean a pleated water filter?
Spray down both sides of the paper and the carbon underneath, making sure you don’t lose any parts. Soak the filter. For the pleated filter, shake out as much water as you can, and place it back in the housing. Pour in oxalic acid, and let it sit until clean, about 20 minutes or so.
