Description
If you’re thinking about getting a whole home water filtration system, the CARELUX B23 Water Filter is the one for you. Depending on your water source, required flow rate and pollutants of concern, choose the right combination.
Choosing the Number of Filtration Stages:
- One Stage:
- Single stages include a sediment filter. Depending of the water source, it can be a pleated filter for rainwater or a triple gradient filter for tap water. Sediment filters will capture particles greater than 5 micron, meaning that it will filter dirt, sand, rust, silt, and clay. Therefore, it will protect chemical filters or carbon filters from premature blockages. Without a sediment filter in the first stage, the chemical filters will be covered in dirt and will stop adsorbing chlorine and other disinfectants.
- Two Stages:
- Two stage systems include a sediment filter and a chemical filter. Depending of the water source, it can be a pleated filter for rainwater or a triple gradient filter for tap water in the first stage. In the second stage you can choose whether to have a chemical filter for chlorine, taste and odours removal or an advanced filter for chlorine, taste, odours, microorganisms, and heavy metals.
- The flow rate in two stage filtration systems are recommended for houses with one bathroom.
- Three Stages:
- Three stage systems include a sediment filter, and two chemical filters. Depending of the water source, it can be a pleated filter for rainwater or a triple gradient filter for tap water in the first stage. In the second stage you will have a chemical filter for chlorine, taste and odours. In the third stage there will be another chemical filter for further removal of contaminants. You can choose whether to have a bacteriostatic filter for further removal of chlorine, taste and odours or an advanced filter for chlorine, taste, odours, microorganisms, and heavy metals.
- The flow rate in two stage filtration systems are recommended for houses with more than one bathroom.
Choosing the Housing Sump Size:
- 20″ x 4.5″ Filters work with flow rates of up to 50 LPM.
- Filters need replacing every 12 months.
- 10″ x 4.5″ Filters work with flow rates of up to 30 LPM.
- Filters need replacing every 6 months.
